On January 15th, CEO Timo-thy Carney and Chairperson ofthe Board Barbara G. Cuffie,as well as members of theCredit Union Board of Direc-tors and management team,attended the SSA’s 2008 Mar-tin Luther King Program. Dur-ing the program, ChairpersonCuffie and Mr. Carney pre-sented Dr. Wells and Commis-sioner Astrue with a $700check, marking SecurityplusFCU’s contribution to the SSAAdopt-a-School Scholarshipprogram. This money, alongwith a generous donation bythe SSA Employees’ ActivitiesAssociation (EAA), was pre-sented to Woodlawn HighSchool at a Community/SchoolPartnerships ceremony held on January 24th. SecurityplusFCU and the SSA haveworked together for nearly 70years, and look forward to con-tinuing that relationship formany more years to come.Securityplus FCU is a mem-ber-owned financial institutionwith more than 36,000 mem-bers and over $260 million inassets.
